we have been running the new format for a while...any complaints, suggestions or concerns?

It's all good. No complaints at all. Just one suggestion: there are some bands that you carry exclusively on Fuel which I think could crossover to the Refinery. I tried switching back and forth between stations but I just can't handle the screamo stuff and find myself sticking mostly to the Refinery.

You might also be worried about diluting the brands if there's too much crossover. You do have an old school show on Fuel that borrows heavily from Refinery's set list. Could you do a similar show 1 hour show here that borrows from Fuel? I'd like to hear Disciple, Forevertree, Gretchen type bands here, if only as guests.

Well, I have been tossing that idea around in my head and have wondered if adding modern hard rock here on the Refinery would be a gooe idea. I will definitely discuss it with Nathaniel and see what we can do..thanks loon.

I'd be interested in hearing other listeners' views. I suspect there's a lot of music on Fuel that wouldn't gel as well here. How to decide which tunes would...I guess that's your big challenge as programmer. That's why maybe starting just with an hour show might be good, then we could sample Fuel bands and come to some consensus as to whether a band (or a particular song) could migrate here.

I really like the idea, it's just that when we separated the songs between fuel and RRR, we were wanting a classic style rock and metal feel here at the RRR and a modern hard rock/metal feel at fuel. I feel we did a great job doing that. There are some bands that could cross over but then, it's a question of how much or how far do we go. I just don't want to go back to where it was. I feel that the formats for both stations are fairing well with both. I do like the idea of a show that features fuel music but not to where it could be requested outside of that show.

Sure, the hour show format is probably the best compromise. I totally agree that it's not worth muddying the sound of both stations. And having an hour fix of modern hard rock should either slake one's thirst or not be too long to weather (depending on one's taste).

That would be cool.  I like to listen to Disciple, Dicyfer Down, Red, Demon Hunter, Brian Welch and some of the otehr bands from fuel.  I am like Loon though, I am not a big screamer fan that is why I stay here at the RRR all day at work.  I think the show would be pretty cool Tom.  Just my thought
