Pyramaze, Lance King's latest band, releases it's sophomore album, "Legend of the Bone Carver". Now, keep in mind, the music for Pyramaze is recorded in Denmark while the vocals are recorded here in the USA. Let's give it a spin: The album starts off with an intro called "Era of Chaos". It has theatrical music playing in the background with a narrator then kicks into the first song, "The Birth". This is a nice mid tempo song. Very nice harmonies. Next track is "What Lies Beyond", another nice mid tempo rocker. This song feature the help of Lance's son, Tomy King. "Ancient Words Within" is the next track. Another great song. The next track is called "Souls in Pain". This song rocks! With tempo changes and great harmonies, one of my favorites. "She Who Summoned Me" is an awesome ballad. Christina Oberg helps out on vocals. Probably my favorite song. The next track, "The Bone Carver", is another great rocker. "Bring Back Life" rocks! Great song! Next is "Blood Red Skies" which also features Christina Oberg and is mainly music with narration. The last track is "Tears of Hate". ending the album still smokin'. Lance King is one of my all-time favorite vocalists and just gets better and better. This is an awesome album. As Lance put it, "It's the rock version of The Lord of the Rings." Legend of the Bone Carver is another jewel in the King's crown! |
